The Stories We Could Tell

The Clarks meet Mr. Margaritaville

A little less than a year ago I was in Bora Bora visiting Liz when she received word that one of our favorite musicians was coming to town. Jimmy Buffett would be there in 2 weeks playing to a crowd a few hundred people for two nights. The old phish-head inside me wanted to extend my stay so I could be there but 10 amazing days in French Polynesia were about all I could manage at the time. So fast forward two weeks – not only does Lizzy go to the shows but she meets Jimmy, sings onstage, and even takes him surfing.

So a few weeks ago Jimmy  was playing in Irvine and Liz gets an email from him asking if she wants to go.  Yes please.  She happened to be in California, Bria and I were back from our trailer travels, and my dad was home from a long business trip.  We ALL got to go!  We had an incredible time and Jimmy was incredibly humble and kind (and played a great show despite being a bit under the weather – a real pro).  The pictures say it all – Bria took some amazing shots:

Thanks Jimmy!!!

  1. What a fantastic opportunity and looks like everybody had a great time. Wow, Bria and James, you have enough stories here to publish a book (that’s what everybody used to tell me too). Live, laugh, and be happy!
