The Stories We Could Tell

It’s so hard to say goodbye…

Dear friends and devoted blog readers:

It looks like the Clark train has finally pulled into the station! We had an amazing, once in a lifetime, life-altering trip… but we are so happy to be back. We can’t tell you how much it meant to us to have you travel along with us on our adventures, misadventures and fun. Seeing your comments and knowing that you were reading the blog made it feel like we had friends and family with us the whole trip. Thanks so much.

Although we are back in Southern California now, it turns out that our adventures are not coming to an end quite yet. James and I will be traveling to Thailand with Papa Kulinski late November. We are so excited and it looks like Dad has planned a great itinerary taking us to many cities. We will be sure to continue our blog from there. In the meantime, James and I will be trying to figure out what the future holds for us… where to live, what to do, etc. Exciting and mind boggling all at the same time!

In celebration of the end of “trailer life,” here is a brief summary of our time on the road….

Total Miles Traveled: 16, 451 miles! (But we probably did more like 6,000 with the trailer – we took lots of day trips once we dropped Lance off at the campground!)

Total Time on the Road: FIVE months to the very day!

States Visited: Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon, California

Countries Visited: USA, Canada

National Parks Visited: Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, Mesa Verde, Rocky Mountain, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Glacier, Crater Lake, Redwood, Banff (Canada)

Wildlife Seen: Bison, Deer, Elk, Wolf, Marmot, Pronghorn, Moose, Snakes (yes, several), Black Bear

Favorite song of the trip: “Free” Zac Brown Band (thanks to Lauren Kelly)

Number of fights lover’s quarrels: 0

Our favorite place (we get this question often – too hard to answer because we enjoyed so many experiences, so we broke it down into categories):
*Favorite state: Colorado
*Favorite big city: Denver, CO
*Favorite small town: Bozeman, MT
*Favorite very small town where we really got to relax and enjoy nature’s beauty: Ridgway, CO
*Favorite National Park: We could never pick! You should visit them all!!!

Thanks again for keeping up with our blog! Check back soon for our adventures from Thailand!
Love,
Bria, James and Tucker
