The Stories We Could Tell

Vancouver: Chinatown Night Market

During the summer in Vancouver, a street in Chinatown is closed down Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for a delightful night market. Merchants sell everything from food to bras (seriously) to toys and souvenirs. The parking meter ran out, so we sadly had to miss the evening’s karaoke (oh yes, they had a full stage set up for some high stakes karaoke competition). But we still managed to have a blast people watching, sampling some delicious snacks (some great dumplings with a yet-to-be-determined mystery meat; a potato spiral – see pics; mini doughnuts baked into a waffle – who knew?), and browsing the merchant’s offerings.
